I was so happily surprised, I stayed in three four star hotels in our trip home for Christmas and across Ireland this was actually my favourite place to stay. The place was clean, modern, large rooms and the bed was so comfortable too.

My weekend stay at Blue Tit Lodge in Kilkee was nothing short of delightful, and I'm eager to share my positive experience. From the moment we arrived, the hostess greeted us with a warm smile, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The holiday spirit was alive as the entire house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, creating a cozy and festive atmosphere. Our room was not only spacious but tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting retreat. The cleanliness of the bathroom was impeccable, and the ample space added to the overall comfort of our stay. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the provision of extra blankets in the cupboard, anticipating the chilly weather. This attention to detail ensured we stayed warm and snug throughout the night, contributing to a restful sleep on the comfortable bed. The following morning, we were treated to a breakfast that exceeded expectations. Every item, from the freshly baked bread to the scones and muffins, was homemade and bursting with flavor. The hostess displayed genuine care and attentiveness, ensuring our plates were never empty and our cups were always filled. A major highlight of Blue Tit Lodge is its convenient location—it's just a 15-minute walk to both the beach and the town center. This makes it an ideal choice for those looking to explore the local attractions while enjoying a peaceful retreat. Even in winter, the garden maintained its charm and beauty, adding an extra layer of tranquility to our stay. The well-kept surroundings enhanced the overall appeal of the lodge and provided a pleasant backdrop to our weekend getaway. In conclusion, Blue Tit Lodge exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Maybe the cleanest BnB I have been to? And the fluffiest bathmat. Facilities were great, breakfast was excellent, hosts were very accommodating, view was wonderful when the Irish weather cooperated 😂

Perfect location in Carrigaholt. We stayed one night. Comfortable bed. Clean and warm. James excellent in getting back to me. Really perfect for our stay. It is small and compact. Tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryer. Toiletries in bathroom. Rainforest shower.

    Carrigaholt is a great base to tour the Loop Head peninsula and further afield in Co. Clare. The village has a gastro pub (The Long Dock) serving great food. There is also a good take away and approx. 3 other pubs one of which has a shop providing all essentials. So there is everything you need in the village. There's plently of lovely walks locally and Carrigaholt is fantastic place for birdwatching.

    A hidden gem away from the usual tourist spots in county...

    A hidden gem away from the usual tourist spots in county Clare. Simple holiday pleasures of watching the tide come and go while crab fishing and skimming stones across the incoming tide. The crabs were released after a short staycation in the kids buckets! A local shop/pub (Keanes), a well stocked gift shop and a coffee dock kept us happy and entertained. Loved the post office and it's quaint bookshop in the back room which was'nt open but interesting to look at. Sealyons fish shop is a 10min stroll away and worth every step. Scallops, prawns and salmon filled our bellies with enough space for a pint at Keanes. The chats with the locals was a bonus to the holiday. Next time we will stay for two weeks as one was not long enough.
