Weather . Trip .. carlow.. and hot was all fantastic the drive was so easy the direction s to hotel and town was a bonus and the xtra, s in the hotel were brilliant . Swimming pool etc .. the staff who work in the hotel could not do enough for us and I want to thank them so so much . Carlow town is a hidden gem.
Carlow town is a hidden gem. Beautiful town artisan and public building architecture. Clean, bright public areas, wonderful recreational open spaces and a vibrant, pleasant night life with lovely eateries and pubs. We were on a working conference weekend and our stay was too short. We will visit again, next time for longer and for leisure to fully enjoy Carlow town and its surrounding areas.Guest review byJimIreland - 8.0

Talbot hotel fantastic. Woman at reception with short mosey brown hair.was lovely person helpful with everything.best receptionist. Reddys, For Horse racing, Even doh the most of the staff could do with a person training course for greeting customers, they could take a few tips from the staff in the Talbot Hotel, and the Pub opposite them not to sure of the name of the bub/Dinn Ri for Food it was excellent, Similar to the Bub Opposite Reddys, The tall young Guy in Reddy's was great and service was super couldn't say the same about the rest of the staff, couldn't say the same about the dark hair girl!Guest review byjames @paulineIreland

This is perfect for someone who likes a bit of privacy and may be travelling for work or such. Room was pleasant and I had a good night's sleep. Host was very welcoming. Had a desk which I didn't expect (that was a bonus). Access to the kitchen meant I could make myself a brew when I wished to do so. I had a very relaxing night and slept well. The bedroom has fantastic "bling" furniture. The bed was very comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean. There was fresh fruit in the kitchen, which was really thoughtful.
