We had such a great time here. The owner was a great communicator and everything was as described. We had a toddler with us and she had so much fun. The bath was the perfect size for her! It was very handy having two separate bathrooms for two couples. The location was great beside the lake so we could swim and fish. We made great use of the garden and picnic bench too. Only a short drive to town for shopping and take away!

We had a wonderful time at Corrib Lodge The place is very clean and well-presented in a very stylish Italian design Boat rental and bikes are available at the property Top-notch hospitality from Guglielmo, the owner of the place. He is a very friendly guy with a great passion and knowledge for fishing. Toward the end of our 4-day stay, I decided to self-quarantine myself and cope with a cold while the rest of the family enjoyed the sights and sites in the village. At some point the manager became aware of my status and coordinated with the kitchen to prepare some broth-heavy soup (as the attached tavern did not have any chicken noodle soup on their menu). I also liked the attached bookstore and chatting with Robert, the owner, before buying a few genealogy-related books. Perhaps the highlight of the trip was our encounter with about 10 locals at the next table in the tavern. After volunteering to take a photo of their group celebrating an 80th birthday, they provided me with a few leads in my search for some information regarding my 2g-grandfather in the 1850s. That led me to the Puddleducks Café down the street and a chance to chat with the manager (who connected me to the owner - and his brother - at the Spar station).

Claregalway Hotel is situated just outside of Galway in Claregalway village. It has a restaurant, a leisure centre with a gym and pool, and spacious air-conditioned rooms.

Oh the hotel was lovely. We so enjoyed having the spacious room after a few nights in cramped quarters, it was nice to be able to stretch out. We did not have an opportunity to use the gym or pool sadly but they looked nice.
