Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry, which is a must-do.

Kenmare is on the Ring of Kerry, which is a must-do. Possibly better to start from Killarney as there is a fair amount to see between Killarney & Kenmare, & (going clockwise) it's a bit much to do last after a long day. In fact if time allows I would strongly suggest doing the Ring over 2 or even 3 days. But our experience was that Killarney accommodation is more expensive & sells out faster. Kenmare itself is pretty and pleasant and walkable, probably not necessary to spend more than a day there though.

A nice town with some lovely shops, restaurants and bars. A good base for visiting the ring of Beara, The Limetree and No.35 restaurants are lovely places to dine and there is ample bar food in the pubs too. Make sure to try out Tom Crean lager and ale!

Kenmare is a lively town with a variety of bars and eating options. In the summer months there is live music in most places. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Great for walking and a superb coastline.

Wonderful location at the cross roads of so many must visit places. The town itself is vibrant and charming and very well serviced with pubs and restaurants. What could be better after a busy day exploring then sitting outside Foleys catching the evening sun and enjoying a pint while deciding what and where to eat.

The town was larger with more facilities than we expected and we would be happy to return. The location gave us easy access to the Ring of Kerry road trip and we saw all the sights worth seeing. The french patisserie in the town was great but has slow service as it is very popular. Watch out for the narrow roads where lots of tourist buses, and locals actually, don't always keep to their side of the road and it can be dangerous.

A very warm welcome on our arrival from Lucy the owner who always had time for a chat. Situated in the town centre it is close to the shops, restaurants and bars and it is a good base for touring the local area. Our room was spacious and warm and our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous with the American Style Pancakes and Eggs Benedict the best we ever had. We had a lovely time in Kenmare despite the bad weather and we look forward to returning an we will definitely stay with Lucy again.

We have stayed in the Kenmare Bay Hotel before. So coming back we had high expectations. And it didn't disappoint. Everything was super, The reception we received, our room, staff friendliness, relaxed atmosphere, leisure facilities, evening meal and breakfast were all just fantastic. And all of this blended really well with our ramble down and time spent in the wonderful buzz of Kennare Town last Saturday evening. Thank you everyone! Keep up the good work!
