The hotel is beautifully presented and well maintained. The staff could not offer any more assistance than they did, always going that extra which makes the difference when deciding if we are willing to go back. The apartment was fully furnished with high end sofas, beds, bed linen, towels etc. The heating was on a timer and came on throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped and they had even left coffee, tea, sugar etc. It was a two minute walk to The Heritage Hotel which we ate in (gorgeous food) and there are plenty of lovely walks in the area. Was our 2nd choice as I bungled the original booking at another venue. But so glad I did, as this hotel turned out to be exceptional, and beyond what we expected. Upon arrival, we were met by the friendly Joanna and Siobhan, and made to feel right at home. When entering our room, we were immediately impressed with the size, and the décor, plus an impressive bathroom. Went for a swim and hot tub, and then off to dinner at Seven, which offered generous portions, tasty as well, and at reasonable prices. Breakfast was great, and the staff at Blakes were also super friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and will definitely return again.Guest review byNeilIreland - 6.0

Our stay in the Heritage Hotel was relaxing and very enjoyable.The restaurant in the hotel was first class.The spa experience at the hotel is to be recommended for both young and old.There is also a swimming pool and jacuzzi.For those who play golf there is an excellent golf course.There is a five kilometre walking track around the golf course.Bicycles are available in the locality.There are many interesting places to visit locally.I would recommend Emu Court.Guest review byMary - 8.0

I had a wonderful overnight stay at the hotel while attending a conference in Portlaoise which is only 20 mins away by car. The breakfast in the morning was very good for the buffet selection and the scambled eggs were very tasty. I played the championship golf course the next day which was in remarkable condition considering the time of year and look forward to both a return stay and another round. Unfortunately time did not permit a visit to the Spa other than a quick walk around - definitely up for a visit next time.Guest review byAnnIreland

Room was clean and equipped with everything plus extras (coffee machine, espa products, freestanding bathtub etc), very comfortable bed. Spa area was brilliant. It cost extra to use but was well worth the money. Partner used the golf course and really enjoyed. It has a nice walking trail around the course too. Food and drink in the hotel was really good, staff very friendly. The little pub at the entrance to hotel called the thatch had lovely food and cosy atmosphere.
