This is Games of Thrones territory. To imagine the history is excellent. There are lots of opportunities to provide better signage and maintenance but it is certainly possible to go there on your own.

Chitradurga is a shabby city but shall be clean within next 5 years with development takings place . The trip to Fort and Rajendra murga math is a must. Any body wants to come by railway ,there is another way to come to chitradurg via Harihar.
