We stayed for a week. the apartment was simple but very clean. We came looking for sun, beach and quiet and we certainly found all three. the sunsets were spectacular and the sea was clean, warm and and the beach wide and mostly deserted. There are two similarly priced restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We ate excellent food in both, including a local fish called Leppo and calamari and the best homemade fries and curry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Cancabcona is a small town, so it is best to keep your expectations accordingly. Apart from Palolem beach which is the biggest highlight of this place, you can go inside and visit places like Mallikarjuna Temple, a trip to Monkey Island, or boat ride to Butterfly island etc. Food on the beach was good but was not authentic goan. You can get a better price and more authentic food away from the beach towards the internal areas. The cabin and surrounding forest was beautiful, could sit out on the balcony forever! So tranquil. Staff are amazing and very friendly. The food! Wow. I mean seriously, best hotel food we have ever experienced. Love that the menu changes every day. To cap it off, the beach is a beautiful palm tree cove.
