1. Leh itinerary of 7 to 8 days is good for visit most of the places in Ladhak less Kargil. 2. 2/3 day of acclimatization is necessary at Leh. 3. Places of interest are Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Shey, Hemis & Thiskey Monasteries, Hunder sand dunes, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Khardung La & Chang La Pass. 4. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my way around Leh. There is, pretty much, everything you might need from clothing to medicine, souvenirs, and even oxygen and gas cannisters! The wide cultural variety was always in full view. Don't forget that altitude and illness can affect your appreciation of the region, as I discovered.
