Tirunelveli is a city offering a variety of features, in and around: hindu temples, from nellaiappar temple to nava tirupathis, known for beautiful architecture; river tambirabarani, ever flowing, but choose where to bathe carefully; upstream locations like kallidaikurichi, ambasamudram, and of course agasthiyar falls are good; if in season, courtallam is very appealing with it s falls; kalakkad sanctuary; variety of transport--auto, taxi, rented car, and public bus...are all good, but negotiate in advance. festival days like panguni uthiram get large number of visitors making transport and stay at short notice very difficult. finally, enjoy tirunelveli halwa, sourced from good shops.Guest review byPadmanabanIndia
