Great location next to hot spring, which is right next door. The owners were nice and quick to respond. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Soap and towels were provided. It was an easy self-check-in process as well.

Very affordable for Icelandic standards, with a great location and a large explorable property. You can see how farm life integrates with running a hotel and there are a lot of nice tidbits about cheese making or other infos on food production. Clear and extremely fresh water from the mountainside. Very good breakfast, with a large selection and even pancakes (which is not very common in Europe). View of the cattle from the breakfast room.

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

    Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

    The location is close to Fontana spa and really close to Laugarvatn lake - beatiful location. Grocery store is 130m away, and so is the lake. Room and bathroom are both very spacious, self-checkin is very convenient, there is even a small fridge in the room.

    Very clean and cute, much nicer than in the pics. Felt like my own cabin instead of just a room. No complaints. Great location near the Fontana spa and roughly in the middle of the golden circle.
