We loved everything. The place is beautiful, very cozy, with a lot of charm & beautiful views in the room as well as the whole house. The common kitchen is super nice, well equipped, and a good place to talk with Anna. Breakfast was wonderful. And, there is a hot tub for guests.

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

    Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

    Easy to find and self-check in process. Comfy beds, good size bathroom. Great location if you’d like to actually spend some time in Pingvellir, Geysir & Gulfoss, outside of when all your coaches are arriving. As this hotel is situated perfectly in middle as a base. We didn’t have enough time to go to Fontana Spa unfortunately, but it surely looked nice. That’s in east walking distance too. Also easy to walk to lake foreshore, see the bubbling water. And the welcome chocolate was very nice. Thank you

    The farmhotel was extremely cozy providing authentic Icelandic experience. The food at both dinner and breakfast was extremely delicious especially the homemade ice cream. The restaurant looks over the farm with their cows. It’s truly amazing experience.

    There is a spa where you can experience the hot springs (about 42 EUR) and take a tour of local breadmaking (they cook it in hot sand underground for about 23 EUR). The hotel itself was decent, rooms were warm but nothing like on the photos.

    Great breakfast. Beautiful place. The smaller building seems to be almost new. The rooms were big enough for us. Coffee machine was always available and chococlate from it was amazing :) And it's close to Fontana (geothermal bath).

    Lovely, warm, comfortable room. Easy check in. Wonderful location - highly recommend a visit to Laugarvatn Fontana spa and their soup, bread and rye bread. Beautiful surrounding scenery.
