I was having a hard time deciding on what to book when in the area, and i'm extremelly happy i booked my night here. First i was greeted by this beautiful dog ad then i met the owner! Very nice, wellcoming and happy host. Cabins are beautiful and super cozy! Amazing views to the mountains and the fields around! If you need any assistance the owners live close by. Kitchen is well equiped. Very clean, confortable beds and nice shower. There is an area outisde where you can sit and drink a coffee or wait for the northern lights. It's a great spot to catch the auroras! Varmahlíð is closed by and you cab do shopping there or order some food. There are 2 petrol stations here. Will definitely come back next time i'm in the area. Loved the piece and quiet of the place! Thank you!

The place was amazing, with everything you need and very cosy. You just want to stay there with a book and not move for a week. Bonus : horses and sheep were very friendly!

Accomodation smells fresh & clean. There are extra towels in the bathroom, free coffee and tea. Hot tub with a view, if you like to take a warm bath. Water comes from a natural source via drill hole. Such a charming hotel, oldest hotel in iceland! Lots of nice touches in the room we haven't seen anywhere else on our trip. Loved the hot tub and the friendly cat!
