They hade some fresh fruit and typical Sicilian biscuits ready as a welcoming present, they recommended me the best places to eat (with the best traditional plates), know their way around Aci Trezza - the local shops and bars and beaches, invited me to join them on a boat tour to see the Isole dei Ciclopi and the nearby castello and even organised a trip back to Catania airport.
