The apartment was much better than we expected. the staff was very kind and helpful. the breakfast was varied and suited our needs. It was clean, everything was comfortable. we had 11 different accommodations in two weeks, this was the best.

The house has everything you might need, the host is so kind and caring and really thought of everything: fully equiped kitchen, comfy bed, a washing machine. The view is stunning! Our 2 husky dogs were accepted without extra charges. I would give a 10 if only the road to the house was better...

This is a character, restored, and ancient place. Be ready for Italian style, charm, warmth, and stairs. The shared breakfast room provides additional relaxation space and a balcony. All is beautifully appointed with vintage linen and crockery and tasteful, comfortable antique furniture. No spartan white surfaces here, and yet all is beautifully clean.

Everything about our stay at B&B Castello Malaspina di Tresana was wonderful. From the pretty courtyard in front of the B&B, which doubled as the village meeting place to the wonderful views and silence of the rural location. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, including a nice bathroom with all amenities. And everything was super clean. Breakfast, which was really good, home made and varied, was served by the utterly friendly and accomodating host, Mariana, in a rustic and cosy dining room with stone vaults, with Mariana making your preferred coffee, eggs, foccasia etc. On top of this, guests have full access to the small castle which the B&B is an integrated part of. On every terrasse and on top of the castle tower, lounge chairs, tables etc. was waiting for guests. We had the most lovely picnic watching the stars and mountains from here. Due to the remote location of the castle, which is situated atop a tiny but pretty village, restaurants and shops are a few km away (3 km for nearest village with a handful of restaurants, 7 km for larger town with all you need) and a car/motorcycle or bicycles are probably needed for staying here. Parking is possible in the courtyard directly in front of the B&B but guests with larger cars might prefer to park >100 m below the castle in a large public parking space as you need to drive through a relatively narrow passageway to park directly in front of the B&B. All in all a highly reccomendable B&B in every way.

    Aulla itself is not a very inspiring town BUT this is a wonderful apartment right along the Via Francigena. The hosts were helpful and have equipped the apartment with every detail one can think of to make guests' stays comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed comfortable. The apartment is spacious and there is a washing machine and a small balcony making it easy to machine-wash those dirty pilgrim/hiking clothes you have been wearing for days! Restaurants and supermarket nearby. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Where to start ? I was given the warmest of welcomes by Yiena and another lady (who later delivered pizza 🍕 and beer). I had a problem with my bike 🚲 , so my bike was left with the mechanic Davide. I had the best experience at this hotel/bike shop. The staff are molto gentile and the apartments are outstanding . Bed and bike - what a great 👍 idea ! Io sono grato to you all ! Grazie Mille Lee

    Tranquility, the hotel is located in the mountains. It has two swimming pools and our room had also a kitchen. For the two of us and our dog it was really ample. Too bad about the lack of cleanliness and the need to renovate. The staff is very friendly and helpful, giving us advice on what to visit and where to eat.

    Alessandra met me to hand over the keys and show me around the apartment. There is a lot of attention to detail in this spacious, clean apartment. The apartment is not far from the Via Francigena and is about 10 mins walk to the centre of Aulla. Highly recommended.
