Great location, few meters from the center and beautiful view to the vineyards. Beautiful house, done with a lot of taste. Very good bed & mattress. Extremely kind staff, we loved our stay in Asilo in Barolo and are already thinking about the next one :)

I have stayed in Piemonte on multiple occasions and this was by far the most authentic and lovely experience I ever had. On top of that, my room was incredibly comfortable, fragrant, and decorated beautifully, with quality furnishings. Even better, Beatrice and her family are so genuine and lovely. I was alone on this trip as my husband had to go to London for work. They invited me into their home for dinner and we had the best conversations about food, wine, Italy, and Piedmont. A room full of passionate people with very positive attitude about life made for the most pleasant evening. I travel frequently and very rarely write reviews, but I felt so compelled to share how wonderful this place is, and how much I would recommend it to anyone that wanted a genuine Piedmont experience with the most lovey people. I am writing this as I enjoy their son's incredible hazelnut spread that puts Nutella to shame. Grazie mille Beatrice and your beautiful family.

The room was very clean and nice bedding. The breakfast was so very nice with homemade bread and pasties, in addition to almost anything you want - so many choices. Both Raphaela and Kiersta were so helpful and kind. We tasted the wine produced by Raphaela and of course had to buy a bottle. It was superb. In warmer weather, I would love to have been able to sit outside for breakfast or for and evening.

Superb service by the hostess, she was able to book wine tasting and restaurant reservations in a short notice (but try to book well advance). We also got some extra attention from the service provider, as our hostess did the booking for us. Superb beds.

The location was superb within and overlooking the stunning scenery of the vineyards of Barolo. Just a few minutes drive from Barolo, free parking, spacious accommodation. It was also possible to try the wines from the vineyard which were left in the accommodation but on this occasion we didn't drink any. Sitting on the balcony in the evening gave a perfect sunset view.

    Barolo is a famous and cute little italian village and the...

    Barolo is a famous and cute little italian village and the best vine on Earth (to me personally). :) We had a lovely walk around in this region with my husband on our latest visit and we loved its magical vineyard hills even more than the village itself. Because sadly the only downside (like with many similarly famous italian areas) is that it can become quiet busy and crowded with too many tourists and not so enjoyable if you prefer a more peaceful relaxing holiday like us. It is definitely worth to visit the village too, to grab an ice cream or an aperitivo but having long walks outside in its beautiful vineyard hills is a must have for a true and authentic Piemonte experience! :) It is very easy to get around in the vineyards of Barolo also by foot or by bike or scooters but would recommend to pay a visit not only in summer time but also during spring or autumn when its less crowded probably.

    Barolo is a very pretty town surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. We travelled by car and it was easy to visit lots of pretty towns in this beautiful region. Barolo offers a selection of restaurants and pizzeria offering very good food, service and of course great wines and everyone was very welcoming.

    A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region.

    A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region. We started in Asti & then Turin. Its great to get out of the city and see "real" Italy, garnished in grapes ready to harvest. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Barolo was a great town to be in and biking was phenomenal there.

    I didn't expect any surprise, but it was very good. It's not 5 star hotel, but it has everything we need. If you don't expect luxury one, you must be satisfied. Especially, the very lovely old lady. Although she speaks only Italian, but you must be love her. The lastly, in 3 minute distance, there is a very very good restaurant.

    ASILO is a beautifully located residence close to Barolo’s restaurants, shops and cafes with secure off street parking. The living space opens out onto a terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside which is a relaxing place to enjoy a glass or two at the end of the day.
