We used Empoli as a base as the train station offered many possibilities as a central hub. We did however really enjoy a lovely walk in the scenic hills. The center was clean and had a really nice vibe to it and the locals were very friendly. We were also told by a historian that the city had a good museum of art although we didn't have time to investigate further unfortunately due to time.Guest review byBarker - 8.0

The apartment was lovely and very comfortable. The surroundings had lovely scenery and the nearby town was vibrant. Public transportation was quite a challenge and getting a taxi was not much easier. You can get most places by walking but if you have mobility issues you will struggle. I would definitely stay again though, very nice place! 😁Guest review byAC - 10.0

A gorgeous authentic Italian town just outside Florence with great train routes to Siena, Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. It's the perfect location if you're planning to have a Tuscan base to explore the area but don't want to pay Florence prices. Do think to “park” your car in the little public parking in front of the hotel (via pulidori), ring the door and then the staff will open the parking door next to the hotel for you to be able to park the car. We were a bit worried about the spring mattress (very soft) but it was comfortable and we slept very well. Everything is a bit oldish but for one night, it was ok. How suprised we were! Absolutelly amazing room and many treasures for our little boy in a hallway 😁. Empoli itself suprised us positively as well. The great bonus was a breakfast in a local pasticeria...so many delicacies!
