It was a very well designed and managed hotel with a pizza restaurant that makes the best pizzas ever! Be aware that the pizzas are huge! Although the room we were initially placed was not perfectly soundproofed, the hotel manager was able to move us to a different room with a better location and farther from the noise source which pleased us. The breakfast was also great and one of the best we had in Sicilian hotels.

My stay at Monaci delle Terre Nere was truly exceptional. This is a paradise on the slopes of Etna amidst the lush Sicilian countryside, the property exuded tranquillity and charm. I can't say enough about attentive service, gourmet meals sourced from their own organic garden, exceptional collection of art, fantastic wine tasting and cooking class.... and the sleep. i travel around the world a lot - this is one of THE best places to sleep and simply enjoy time at the hotel. and time here is sweet and slow, just like local honey.

A very convenient hotel if you have a car and a great starting point for trips to Etna, Taormina and Siracusa. Our room was spacious with big and comfortable bed. They cleaned the room every day. A great convenience was the parking space directly in front of the room. Great breakfast, great coffee and very polite staff. The hotel has beautiful plants and a wonderful view of Etna. We came with our mountain bikes to train around Mount Etna for the whole week. We had a beautiful spot outside the hotel with a patio and a view over Zafferana. At first, we struggled a bit with the four-star atmosphere and the formal dining setup. But by the end of the week, we left as friends, especially with Simona 🤎 at the reception and Salvo 👋🙌 and his older friend 👨‍💼in the restaurant. We love these people. Best regards, and highly recommended!
