I walked in very tired from the Via Francigena and was greeted with warmth and compassion. The hostess offered me cold water and a soda and allowed me to recover before showing me to my room. This was a wonderful kindness! The bed was comfortable, and the room was pretty and very clean. The restaurant on property was full of local diners, a very good sign.

The location was amazing for us as we were doing the Via F and it was right on our route and close to the center of the village. The view from our place was also great and it was very clean with new furnishings and all the amenities we needed. The bathroom was especially nice for a shower after a long walk!

Location and the size of the apartment were fantastic. Lovely to have a washing machine after a week of travel. Host was very welcoming and pointed us in the direction of grocery shops and restaurants.

The agriturismo was located in nice location in the middle of olive trees and vineyards. The panorama was wonderful. Also inside the appartment everything was ok. Nicely equipted, super clean and it had everthing we needed. I would reccomend to everyone. Also Ilaria, she was super nice and friendly.

    Cute little spot, we only stayed there for one evening on our way down to Val D'Orcia from Pisa Airport. The town itself is lovely, we came on a Thursday evening and wandered into the village for a pizza at Happy Days which was great and so tasty, the staff were also lovely. There was also some great karaoke going on at one of the bars which seemed to be locals and some tourists enjoying their evening. It was lovely! Definitely recommend visiting here, there seemed to be lots more lovely restaurants too.

    It's a great area, lovely countryside and two nearby very good restaurants. Is near Castelfiorentino which has good train connections to Florence and Sienna. You need a car if you are staying as we were a few Km outside a town. Taxis are hard to find.

    The location, the facilities, the comfort and quiet of a beautiful country side away from chaotic cities and large villages. We ate all around and visited historic places within about a 30- 40 minute drive including glass factory, wineries, restaurants, galleries and San Gimignano. Highly recommend you have a car. Roads are pretty good and I soon got use to driving on the opposite side which was my biggest concern as an Australian driver. I highly recommend this area and would be happy to stay again.

    Everything was lovely, very nice breakfast, very clean rooms and everywhere else, very helpful staff that couldn’t do enough for you, beautiful location,lovely swimming pool, everything that you need to relax and have a break. The location is close to many beautiful little towns that I would advise to visit as they are perfect for a lovely day out but ideally you need the car there to do this.

    Beautiful and peaceful location in amongst the Olive groves just outside Gambassi Terme in the Toscana countryside. Room was spacious and well appointed, beds super comfortable and facilities as well as the views around the estate superb. Included breakfast was great as were the meals we had in the onsite Restaurant. All staff were warm, friendly, informative and very accommodating. Thank you Tenuta Sant'Ilario team for making our short stay an enjoyable one.

    We had such an amazing stay at Il Defizio - everything was perfect. The family who run it are some of the nicest, most attentive hotel owners/staff we've met and the hotel is beautiful. The location is great - driveable to many towns and restaurants in the area. The food was also delicious and reasonably priced. We had a lovely lunch and dinner there. Breakfast is also great. Would thoroughly recommend staying and we hope to return!
