I had an amazing stay at this apartment near the Zingaro Nature Reserve. The location is ideal for nature lovers—just a short 15-minute drive from the reserve, making it incredibly convenient to explore its beautiful trails and pristine beaches. The apartment itself was exceptionally clean, with a bright and welcoming ambiance that made it feel like a home away from home. It’s clear that the hosts pay great attention to cleanliness and upkeep. The kind host even suggested that her son could take me on a tour of the area, which was a lovely touch. Additionally, there is safe parking available very close to the apartment, adding to the convenience of my stay. The peaceful, quiet surroundings combined with easy access to nature made this a perfect retreat. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Zingaro!

Magic place for having a nice time with your Friends. Small village surrounded by beautiful nature. Our whole group including all children loved IT! Nothing to complain about. The place, flat, garden & view is fantastic and be there in April for special nature in full color and smell ;-)

Hotel Cala Buguto is the perfect place to relax and an excellent base to explore the beautiful beaches nearby. The hotel is very well maintained, super clean, and peacefully located—just about 10 minutes on foot (800 meters) from the stunning Baia Cornino beach. Baia Cornino was very quiet with friendly locals, and surprisingly calm even though we visited in early July. The setting is idyllic, with Monte Cofano in backround. I would always prefer this location over San Vito Lo Capo, which tends to be much busier. Valentina is a wonderful host who gave us the best tips for exploring the area, including beaches and the best local spots in Erice and Trapani. Her breakfast is legendary—every morning she prepared a variety of sweet and savory traditional dishes for guests. You can really see her love for cooking and baking in everything she serves. She offered different cakes, freshly made cannoli, traditional toast, and everything was delicious and fresh. We had the best cannoli on the entire island at Valentina’s place. We would love to come back!

    Not a whole lot in Macari itself but it is quiet and the views are lovely. A good place to stay if one is in Sicily for the beaches and for hiking - convenient to many nice beaches as well as a couple national parks, and the town itself is at base of a ridgeline which has trails. San Vito Lo Capo is a quick drive down the road if one needs more restaurant options, or if one wants to visit a grocery store (there is a Conad a touch less than ten minutes drive in San Vito and another one the opposite direction and roughly same distance in Castelluzzo). I stayed in a small B&B both times I've visited but there are also a good number of holiday apartments on offer and at least one hotel. If one were considering San Vito Lo Capo, I'd strongly advise considering Macari instead as it is significantly less busy, much more peaceful.

    Macari is a very quite village with a small local bar and pizza place and a couple of restaurants but no supermarket. However, there is a large supermarket just 5 mins drive away towards San Vito. The village has a lovely mountain backdrop and faces SW so there are always beautiful sunsets over the sea. The local beach is OK rather than anything special but certainly fairly quite. Macari is an ideal location for the climbing and walking the hills and nice and peaceful.

    Great and peaceful place to rest and take a breath outside of big cities. There are fabulous mountains and beautiful bay with great beaches. Allthough when you're travelling not in high season, there are no restaurants and only one shop.

    Macari was a great base to stay beacuse it was easy to ger around and visit San Vito, beaches, diffrent crags (rock climbing), shops. There is few things to do in Macari alone, but it is very beautifully located and quiet.

    The pool and the scenery are beautiful. We were allowed to check out at 4 pm, which allowed us to have one more relaxed day at the beach. The breakfast is sweet, so no ham and cheese, but some cakes, croissants, bread and jam. The rooms require self-catering, as there is no coffee machine in the room or bar at the hotel. Its a 5 min drive to buy water, 10 min to reach the beach of San Vito lo Capo.

    The hotel rooms are located in few buildings on a hill, full of trees and palms with amazing views of sea and mountains. There is a nice big swimming pool in the complex. Amazing beach just 10 mins by walk from your room. The room with a sea view has a balcony with an amazing view, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset. Very helpful and nice staff, especially at the reception.

    beautiful view of the mountains and the sea. Clean pool and very well maintained complex. San Vito lo Capo can be reached by car in a short time. In Macari there is a nice little but very good pizzeria, which can be reached on foot in a few minutes. The landlord is very friendly and tries hard and can be reached at any time with WhatsApp if any problems arise.

    Casina Ponente was the perfect place to enjoy the area with the beach only 10 mins walk away and the climbing crags only 5 mins drive. The property has all the facilities you need and a lovely terrace and garden with sea and sunset views. There are places to eat in Macari and a large supermarket just 5 mins drive.
