    Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.

    Marghera is very close and accessible to the center of Venice. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet, and yet, stores and transportation are very close by. Restaurant are also close, but it was nice to have breakfast at Dear Venice Bed and Breakfast.

    The hotel was only a short walk to the railway station which was a priority for me as I took the train to main island of Venice everyday of my stay. I felt safe walking back to the hotel at night on my own.

    The most important thing it is near to Venice You can avoid very expensive accommodation and difficult parking in venice It is mainly small port city but quite and clean There sre several restaurants and super markets

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Venice on the cheap...

    Great place to stay if you want to visit Venice on the cheap. There was a lovely pizzeria down the road called 'Pizzeria Al Calesse'. They did the best pizzas and Italian food we eat on our stay. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. Great value and amazing food. Also, there was a lovely English style pub called 'MARCIANO PUB MARGHERA', which did many beers and served burgers.

    Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed.

    Hotel Roma was where my partner and I stayed. We felt it was perfect for what we came to Marghera for - to visit Venice. If you want to stay close to Venice, but not actually IN Venice, this hotel was perfect for that. It's a 1-2 block walk away from the closest bus stop to get you in/out of Venice without the hustle and bustle of a tourist hotspot. The complimentary breakfast was also worth waking up early for.

    We stayed one night at Hotel Roma in Mestre and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. The location is convenient, with a bus stop nearby providing direct access to Venice, which made traveling to the city very easy. Overall, a solid choice for a short stay near Venice.

    Next to hotel is a bus stop where the bus takes you to Venice it's about 20 min journey, breakfest is not big only croissant ( but very good ) and drink but it was enough to keep me going till lunch time. Room was clean and staff very nice and helpful. Overall very good stay.

    The bus stop into Venice is practically right outside the hotel, super handy. The staff on reception were always really nice & helpful. The rooms were lovely & spacious & beds comfy. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
