A roomy and well-equipped villa with all the facilities you need, including WiFi, a kitchen, washing machine, air-con, There were also parasols and folding chairs, and beach towels. The beach was only 10 mins stroll away and this is where we spent most of our time due to semi-aquatic grandchildren!. Riccardo, who looks after the villa, was a really helpful and attentive host. Mondello has plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance - the ones we liked were Raphael, Nico, Le Rocce and Sariddu. The owner of Sariddu claimed to be a Liverpool supporter (like one of our number), but I suspect this depended on who he was talking to! Things to see - the Duomo in Monreale. You can park just south of it, and it is jaw-droppingly amazing. Asis the Chiesa del Gesu in Palermo. Very beautiful beach BUT 90% is occupied by umbrellas and beds to rent at 30€ per day for 2 persons....!!! There are beautiful houses to see but is only that.. there's gardage everywhere!! Honestly , ill never return to mondelo!! You can go for 1 or 2 days and you'll understand what im saying. But no more than that!! Dont spend your money there!! Mondello is a little bit boring sicilian town, with less attractions and do not have this lovely Italian vibe and tasty food ( just a few places) . The beach is fine, but organization not. The sea is wonderful! A little bit disappointed ,that we have chosen this place on the Sicily for our vacation, Taormania and places around it are the way more beautiful! Perfect location, close to the beach, supermarket, the village and bus station (if someone is interested to also visit Palermo historical center), the tips we received from them, especially about the restaurants, also made the difference! We had spent 3.5 weeks traveling around Sicily and was our first ground floor accommodation and we really enjoyed spending time in the gorgeous space outside. Comfortable beds, pillows and couches, it had everything we needed.
