Host and property were amazing. Giulio was so helpful, sent very clear instructions for check-in and parking and the property was available to us earlier than our original arrival time when our plans changed. Super easy to check-in with very clear instructions sent on in advance. Safe on street parking right next to the property. Facilities in the property are excellent, everything you could need and more. Very comfortable, with plenty of amenities near by - we visited the archeological park, the beach and took the train into Rome for the day. The airport is only 15 minutes drive. Highly recommend, and hope to have another visit soon!

Ostia Antica Archaeologica Zone was Rome's key port for over 500 years. It is far larger and more historically significant than Pompei but does not have the same level of preservation. Allow three hours to see it well. Take the Shuttle from the entrance to the far end and walk back with the Museum and Cafe as a place to recuperate half way.

Absolutely worth the trip and every penny - at least if you are a history geek and into ancient Rome. It's a massive area! You are going to be surprised at the size of it - pack water, food and sunscreen! Highly recommend audio guide / guided tour as you'll miss important parts and explanations if you don't. It's a lovely area and you can easily spend 4-6 hours at the park if your legs are up for it.

amazing to visit Ostia Antica. However due to its short distance to the airport than Rome, formal taxi drivers refuse to drive and no option to pay with credict card. We have to pay extra to bribe the taxi driver to do us a favour, even through Uber service. They asked us to change the location when we apporached the airport otherwise he did not stop us even when we arrived in the airport....horrible

On second thought, we must add more to our review. We asked before booking about the time to get to the airport(for a very early flight), and the reply was "It only takes 15 minutes and we'll show you when you get here." It seemed okay, so we booked. But, in fact, it was 40 minutes, in just regular traffic. And, the cost was by taxi for 37 euros. We had to run through the airport and arrived at the gate with only 10 minutes to spare!! Very stressful and unfair to us. When it said breakfast provided, we had to prepare it for ourselves. Also, the night before, we were told that the little town had several options for purchasing dinner but the options were closed. The place to buy ticket for the bus was closed, so we walked back the 1 km., maybe more, to get back. The hosts didn't seem to think about this. The kindness nature of the hosts made us accept the situation with good humor and we tried to be positive. However, in hindsight, we were disappointed. Although thee accommodations itself and the hosts welcome was fine, we regret to say we cannot recommend booking here.

Even after visit similar places like Pompey , I’m amazing with Ostia Antica! If you have chance , take 2 or more days to stay in Ostia! And back tho the future with the PAST impregnated in your eyes, sense and heart ❤️

A very nice and modern appartement in Ostia Antica. Only 30 minutes by train from the Pyramide railway station in Rome. Ostia is a very quiet small town outside the very overcrowded Italian capital city - with a couple of outstanding pasta-restaurants. It is only a 5-19 minutes walk from Victoriae Domus to the wonderful and very interesting old ruins of Roman Ostia, Much more turist-friendly and peaceful than old Pompeii. Relax in Victoriae Domus - with the very friendly owners Franchisco and Veronica!

The accommodation was as described. We wanted a place close to the airport as we were flying out to Sicily the next morning. Collect keys at the bar a couple of doors down. It also has coffee, pastries etc and there is a supermarket across the street. We had access to a little terrace, which was perfect. We took a taxi to and from airport. After the flight from Australia, other means of transport to Ostia Antica were a bit too complicated.

This was the most beautiful B&B we have ever stayed at. Located in an incredible historic building right near the gates to Ostia Antico, the room was impeccably clean and the very recent renovation was exceptionally done - blending the incredible historical architecture, stone work and wood beamed ceiling with a modern, clean aesthetic. The host was incredibly gracious and helpful with all aspects of our stay.
