Mmmmm, absolutely stunning little island, too crowded in august, some visitors disrespectful of island throwing rubbish where ever for example, and of staff in hotel and Restos, a lot of entitled people seem to visit here. Visited specifically to visit Stromboli, long and complicated travel and expensive hotel but happy to pay as Stromboli was to be the highlight. Booked boat trip on last night and was let down by boat company with no apology or attempt to fix and no time to rearrange. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, thank you Angelo and Mauro for your hospitality! The hotel is very charming, tastefully decorated and located just in the centre of Panarea. All local restaurants, bars and shops are within few minutes walk, and the ferry terminal is literally opposite the hotel. The view from the terrace is amazing, it couldn't be better! Also the pool overlooking the sea and being able to swim off the rocks below.
