We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other...
We quite liked the village - it felt nicer than most other villages in the surrounding area. This is because it is a bit bigger than most and has more traditional town layout (instead of being village lined out next to the main street). Architecture is mostly traditional, which gives it the right alpine village vibe. There is a good choice for places to eat and a decent SPAR store. Ski lift is nearby. It seems that every other house is a hotel or a guest house, so finding the right accommodation should be fairly easy.Guest review byJanisLatvia - 10.0

Beautiful South Tyrol resort offering everything you need for any mountain activities you can imagine or just pure relaxation. With mix of old buildings and modern ski infrastructure this place offers true alpine ambient. On top of surroundings I really enjoyed local cuisine that is simple but based on natural local ingredients exceptionally good in every restaurant we had a chance to visit. The town of San Vigilio di Marebbe is not large, but it has everything we need for a relaxing holiday. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants, as well as bars and souvenir shops. A definite plus is the gas station right at the entrance to the town. As always in Italy, you need to pay attention to traffic signs and speed cameras.
