The ease of getting around Rome on the Metro was appreciated. The friendly locals would get us pointed in the right direction which we were grateful for. There are so many options for getting around Rome which makes if a great city for seeing the sites. No shortage of cafes when you just feel like a break too. Enjoy!

Ive been to Roma before and it is amazing how much you miss each time you go. This was my first time however visiting the Coliseum, our tour guide was amazing, her name was Julieta, and we booked her through Viator and she is with "Walk". She was funny, entertaining, and filled with knowledge, I learned more than I thought I would. Was a great experience.

Rome is a city that feels larger than life.

Rome is a city that feels larger than life. It’s the kind of place where every corner has a story, and you could easily spend a lifetime trying to understand it all. Even though my wife and I only had a short time there, I was completely amazed by everything we saw – from the ancient ruins to the vibrant streets and hidden piazzas. Of course, like any major city, there were a couple of things that stood out less positively. Around the main attractions, there are many people trying to sell cheap items, like spare phone batteries, which can get a little tiring after a while. I also noticed a difference in hospitality – the non-Italian waiters we met were often very warm and polite, while some of the Italian staff seemed a bit indifferent, perhaps because they see so many tourists come and go every day. But these are just small details in the bigger picture. Rome is absolutely incredible – a city that captures your heart with its beauty, history, and energy. I left already knowing that I want to return, because one visit is simply not enough to take it all in.

There are a lot of things to see, and explore.

There are a lot of things to see, and explore. Take your time, take it slow. It's very, very crowded and full of tourists - which means, you need to be prepared to queue, and/or make reservation in advance almost everywhere. This takes away from spontaneity, as you always have to be one place at the appointed time.

My husband and I fell in love with Rome.

My husband and I fell in love with Rome. Being around and exploring the ancient sites, the lovely basilicas and churches, awesome architecture, rich culture, great food and friendly people, made our trip a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience. Better book a hotel in the historic center to fully enjoy Rome and just get lost walking and discovering the different neighborhoods where you will find great cafes and restaurants, and even small unique boutiques. There's something magical about the city that stays with you and makes you want to come back for more.

    BEWARE!

BEWARE! Although warned I still had my iPhone stolen while getting on a city bus! The Hop-on-Hop-off buses are a good value to see the most important sights and get acclimated to the city. You can get on and off as often as you'd like. Plus you can always go back later to do a more in-depth visit of a location. BUT, they shut down too early! We left the Vatican late and missed their last bus, which resulted in our having to use a city bus, where my iPhone was pickpocketed.

This was my first trip to Italy. And straight to Rome. I really wanted a place to sleep and relax that would not spoil the impression of the trip. Therefore, I chose the hotel for a long time and very carefully. I chose Amica Roma Guest House and I was right! The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance of the Vatican and the metro. Very cozy and comfortable room. Very tasty breakfasts! And a wonderful, sincere host Robert. Staying at this hotel only enhanced my wonderful feelings from a trip to magical Rome!

The building although found in the old city of Rome, was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and clean and we were also offered water which we could refill from the hotel itself - who doesn’t love a sustainable act? The best part was the breakfast - so delicious and mouthwatering, I’ve never tasted such good breakfast at a hotel in Italy! The food was so genuine and fresh - pure delicacies of Rome! Finally, Erica the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming on our arrival and departure.

I like this hotel because of its convenient location. It is so close to Termini station, so if you travel across Italy, this variant will be the best. The room was small but clean, good air conditioning, it was important for us because the temperature was +37+38 in August in Rome. The staff was friendly, they explained everything that we wanted to know. I think the breakfast was good, it was an ordinary European breakfast (coffee, juice, bread, cheese, jam, croissants).

We had a wonderful weekend in Rome! It's a family hotel with very friendly and helpful hostesses - Francesca and her mother. The hotel offers stylish and comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need: a fridge, a kettle, a TV. The bed is very comfortable, and the area is quiet. I especially want to mention the delicious homemade breakfast with eggs, yogurt, ham, pastries and coffee, which is quite diverse for Italy. I highly recommend staying at this hotel👍

The room was simply gorgeous - soo spacious exceptionally clean and truly 5 stars! It was luxury and the bed the best we had across our 4 weeks in Italy! The location was good - easy to get busses everywhere or walk! The suites are super close to many beautiful restaurants and the lady that welcomed us was delightful. We would stay here again in a heart beat! Oh and the view from our room across Rome was perfect!
