This was the most beautyful and most amacing time we ever experienced. From the first moment when we arrived with our car in front of the hotel already the Reception and logguage personal have welcomed us and helped us open the doors and took care of our logguage and car. They were so friendly and super professional at the same time and we felt really welcomed and that they where really happy to have us as guests. Then for Lunch we stayed at the hotelrestaurant where the cheff de service was giving us a again so very beautyful and friendly welcome and took care about so many detail to make us feel in heaven and as two real royals. He made sure to play just the perfect matching music in the perfect volume in the background, he gave us such a wonderful table at the window with the most beautyful view just like in a dream of italy. Then during the luch and alltimes when we where in the restaurant he and all his colleagues have been maximal enthusiastic and angaged and made theyre work look like an elegant beautyful symphonia and allways beeing superpolite and happy and friendly. And the cooking of my pepper beef filet in front of our table by the cheff de service was a peace of art to watch and to eat with highest pleasure! Thank you again so much for the most wonderful time and this most excellent service to the whole team of the hotel and reastaurant! You have been by far the most beautyful days on our whole italy travel-vacation!

Nice town with much to do in town and nearby. Go to Rapallo by train and take the aerial tram to see the church and eat at the restaurant with the most beautiful terrace about 200 yards through the trees on a path of enlightenment. Go have a drink by the castle for a lively scene and view.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino. Nice shops and good restaurants and are more reasonably priced than Portofino yet only takes 15 mins to travel there by boat. We went end of season in late September and there were a lot of locals swimming and enjoying the sea. I didn't get chance to walk between the 2 resorts but it looked flat and easy. Highly recommend a visit on the ferry to Santa Fruttuoso - stunning. can get busy when a big cruise ship arrives in town. The harbour is interesting and lots to see and people watch. some of the yachts are impressive!

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and...

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Portofino. Relaxed and laidback. Promenade with lots of restaurants. Great beach. Ferry or bus to other villages. Feels Italian, not as pricey and touristy as Portofino.

Lovely little coastal town.

Lovely little coastal town. We had two nights here which was just the right amount. The highlight was the beautiful coastal walk to Portofino and we then took the ferry back to see the coastline from the sea. The town has some lovely restaurants and cafes and some beautiful but pricey boutiques.

The location was excellent. As we travelled by car the hotel provided parking fo a fee. Once unloaded the car was taken to a parking spot and on checkout brought to our room for loading the luggage. The tasty macarons in our room was a pleasant touch. We were in walking distance to town , beach, ferry. The hotel also provided suggested restaurants and bars for Santa Margherita and Potofino.

We had a great few days in Santa Margarita and the Hotel Jolanda was in the perfect location for some excellent restaurants and shops along with a few minutes to the beach. All the staff were brilliant, especially Irene who made us feel very welcome and gave us some good advice on things to do and travel advice. We will definitely be back soon.

Very charismatic and beautiful place with amazingly helpful staff. The room was very cozy and clean, the view to the city and the port is nice. They cleaned the room every day. The breakfast is common for Italy, they had lots of sweets but not so much savory options. But the pastries were amazing and the breakfast overall was enjoyable.
