The location is amazing, views across the coast are breathtaking. Best thing is that you can walk to Amalfi within 20-30 minutes. I celebrated my birthday during my stay and without us telling the hotel they prepared a cake :)

The experience in this accommodation was extraordinary. We took the room with amalfi view, the room was very clean and had all the facilities presented in Booking. I had breakfast included, made by Katia, which was very delicious. Katia was very kind and gave us very useful tips on how to spend our time on the coast.

We liked Scala and Ravello so much that we decided to stay there the whole time while visiting Amalfi coast and we didn't even visit coastal cities as we planned. Clelia was really nice, came to pick us up when we messed up the transport to Scala. The apartment is newly renovated, really pretty and has a lovely hoast. The village is so beautiful, not crowded and so worth the visit. Thank you Clelia :)

Perfect position in that it's out the way of the noise but close enough to walk to scala. Places to eat everywhere with the closest 50 yards away. Supermarket in the town about a 5min walk. Vila is spot on with more than you expect. You can get the bus from scala to most places as the bus companie is based there.

Apartment is like brand new … You will find everything in the apartment .. Location is very good and a million dollar View from Terrace and one of the bedroom .. Owners is Very Friendly and always responsive.. Helped me in many occasion. sadly i couldnt meet with owner! Check in was easy and a little beautiful girl was waiting for me, greet me and gave all the information i need.. .. impressive service which i didnt expect in Italy..

The area also offers great historical sites to explore, along with the beautiful Valle delle Ferriere nature park nearby. A convenient bus stop with frequent service makes it easy to get around the area without a car.

Great people, not packed Loads of nature and restaurants around Perfect choice for smart people who wants to explore more then just taking instagram pictures of Amalfi Scala is not too remote from the Coast while being very beautiful , Highly recommend to rent Motorcycles from Paolo just ask reception

    Scala — A Hidden Gem Facing the Glamour of Ravello Scala is a small, charming village nestled just across the valley from the more famous and glamorous Ravello. But don’t let its modest size fool you — Scala offers something truly special: a breathtaking, postcard-perfect view of Ravello itself. In my opinion, staying in Scala and looking out onto Ravello is even more magical than staying in Ravello and looking out from it. The village is peaceful, authentic, and has everything you might need within easy reach — a grocery store, a pharmacy, a local hairdresser, and plenty of warmth from the locals. Despite its tranquility, Scala is home to some truly exceptional accommodations, especially Ravello View and Hotel Zi'ntonio, which offer comfort, hospitality, and those unforgettable vistas. Scala isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a serene haven with a soul of its own, quietly watching over one of Italy’s most iconic hilltop towns.

    I would highly recommend staying up above the Amalfi coast...

    I would highly recommend staying up above the Amalfi coast as it's more peaceful and you can drink in the views every morning and evening. The restaurants tend to be cheaper too. It's not always easy though getting down and back up from the more coastal areas, so think about how you are going to do that every day before choosing to stay somewhere like Pontone, Scala, Minuta etc.

    Scala is about 1/2 hour bus drive from Amalfi at a height of 360m. It is a nice and quiet village with various shops and italian bars. It is a relaxing place to stay not far away from Amalfi (for those who like the tourist chaos). You can find there also so good restaurants to have a special dinner.

    For a basic, relaxing holiday with the self-catering, local minimarkets and cafes it is perfect. The problem arises when you want to explore other areas as the public transport we found to be very difficult and stressful. We would recommend hiring a car (if you are brave enough for the roads) or relaxing into not exploring a huge amount. We loved Da Pietro Caffetteria in Scala. Amazing quality food all from the local area and very reasonably priced. Also, Da Nonno Alfonso in Ravello was incredible too. Such a cute little place with amazing pizzas and dessert. One to book in advance though. Our holiday was dampened by a lot of rain and thunderstorms so next time we would most likely avoid the time of year we visited (mid-September) and potentially try staying in Minori or Maori instead as these were beachfront with a greater variety of restaurants available - probably noisier and busier though.

    The location is sensational, with a beautiful view over Scala and neighbouring Ravello. This is a family-run hotel, and Antonio and his family ensured we had a fantastic time. The breakfasts were very good, and the view from the breakfast area was breathtaking. The swimming pool was beautifully maintained, and offered a fantastic view over Ravello. We used local buses to and from Ravello and Amalfi, and generally they kept good time.

    * The hotel just opened in july 2025, so they are still improving the facilities* The room is big and comfortable. The terrasse offers a stunning view on Ravello and Amalfi. All activities can be done by bus (10 min walk), and you can park the car for free so we enjoy not using our car for 3 days (especially how pricey parkings are and how dangerous the road is). You have many restaurants in Scala that you can reach by foot.

    Such a lovely, clean and calm place in Scala. Katia got me very usefull information how to get there. She was very kind and polite. It is in the hill ober Amalfi but easy to reach by bus and then walk. Nice restaurant San Giorigio nerarby. Very clean and good breakfast. It was too hot in the bedroom so I slept in the living room near the window. Beautiful view.

The Hotel is Intimate and quiet, the staff is kind, the pool is clean and is directly under the sun, there is parking space , close bus station, 24H reception, Breakfast is great , the price is not expensive at all for Amalfi
