I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from high up in town to down close to the sea. Uber is working very bed there.
Uber is working very bed there. You'd better ask your hotel for a transfer from the airport and back. We paid around 70-80 euros for this service. Tropea is a very touristic place, and prices to rent an umbrella with 2 beds on the beach are just crazy (25-60 euros per day in high season!) You'd better take your own beach umbrellas here :) Many "tourist trap" restaurants, but you can find good places to eat if you choose 4.5 and higher ratings on Google Maps. Tropea is a summer paradise: small historic centre with beautiful sea view. Lot´s of excellent restaurants and little shops. Everything is in walking distance, but there is a lot´s of stairs to the beach. Also old streets are covered cobblestones. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and was cozy. The location of the apartment was ideal: close enough to the sea, there are several grocery stores nearby, the train station is within walking distance, and not far from the center where life is boiling in the evening. The owners were helpful and friendly and recommended us the best beaches and restaurants that were really worth visiting.
