We went to a local canteen-like-restaurant by the marina, where all the locals go. I had lasagne which turned out to be fish and prawn. I was surprised but it was gorgeous. They served it cold, but you can ask them to heat it up (we found out afterwards). We were staying in Vasto town but arrived by train and mistakenly got off 2 stops further along. There are several versions of Vasto.... but we were able to get a bus to the marina... eat.. and then we got the bus again to Vasto town as it was uphill, it was hot, and we had luggage.Guest review byAliUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The food was fabulous, fresh and reasonably priced at the local restaurants! Vasto is not too big and not too small. A large number of good restaurants. And not too far for wineries or trabocchi. After a month of visiting very small old towns in Puglia, we were happy that Vasto had more to offer.Guest review byLizMSuAustralia
