Everything, the call that they made before arrival to be prepared for us. The check in was easy and they treated us as the royal family. The staff everywhere had a honest smile ,always there to help. The room was very good... dinner delicious, breakfast amazing... Location perfect... Check out was the point to the " i", to make the experience perfect... the staff asked us if we need water for our trip.. Unfortunatly we were short there, but for sure we we will visit this hotel again.. the best experience in Europe. For sure this hotel has to have 2 more stars😊 Thank you to all the staff!

FAQs about hotels in Verona

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

    Lovely city to walk around.

Lovely city to walk around. You don't need more than 2 full days. We found out that most of the main city attractions are closed on Mondays so avoid those days if you only have one day in Verona. Loved the city and would recommend a visit.

Very nice location to taste wine and very nice food.

Very nice location to taste wine and very nice food. It is great to stay like 3 days to enjoy food , wines, drinks, location. Lots of places to see in the centre. I also recommend amongst all the good place as Arena, Juliette s house, Romeos house, Catacombs,... to go to the castle at the other side of the river taking the Ponto Pietra (castle is located at the front of Ponte Pietra) to have a wonderful panoramic view of Verona and taste food and drinks in the cafe terrace there.

Verona is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. It is steeped in so much history, so much of which is visible by walking around the old town (definitely book onto a walking tour). Skip Juliet's balcony for a walk up to Castel San Pietro and soak up the breathtaking views. There are so many restaurants, bars, gelaterias and cafes - practically on every corner - meaning you're spoilt for choice. Great for shopping, too. It's a city that really has everything - wonderful views, wonderful food, wonderful people. We spent some time walking along the various bridges and along the river in the autumn sun, which was superbly relaxing and delightful. It was busy when we visited in late September, but never felt 'overly busy'. We're eager to return!

Absolutely loved Verona....beautiful place with lots to explore. Very clean, no litter. Easy to walk to all the main attractions. Not expensive to eat and drink. High end shops on main shopping streets. Easy to get the train to Venice (90 mins), Lake Garda (15 mins), etc to explore further afield. Go...you won't regret it.

Verona was a great city to visit. There is a lot of history there that is perhaps not as well-known as other cities in Italy. The city was less busy with tourists than others which made it more enjoyable.

Location is great, and that's almost all positive. This is a cheap hostel, please do not be mislead by the reviews. We paid 50 euro per night, good price to stay in two steps from Arena di Verona, even in a hotel with a shared bathroom. However we did not expect that we could not use the bathroom at all as it was not clean. Room is rather big and there is good aircondition, but the furniture is in a bad shape, as well as the towels etc. No reasons to stay here for the full price.

Good location between the center and the train station. Both an easy walk. Verona is beautiful, and we went for day trips to Lake Garda, Venice and Mantova. The apartment is comfortable with a lot of space. Two bedrooms, separate kitchen and living room. Pam Supermarket is around the corner. The neighborhood is quiet, with good restaurants nearby (this is Italy).

The restaurant is also superb, one of the best meals we’ve had anywhere in Italy. Hotel Torcolo will be our first choice when we return to Verona. Big thank you to Catrina and all the staff.
