We parked at Times Parking next to Crown Plaza hotel and the parking lot charged us 3200 yen for over nigh parking. We found not place to clarify why such high as the signage said maximum was 700 yen for over night. My only purpose to come to Akita was to visit the Shrine of our Lady of Akita. The famous tears shedding statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I'm a catholic. That was my personal pilgrimage. I love Akita. People are polite and honest. They arr vwey helpful and try their best to communicate in English. The place is very clean and peaceful. Kind of a sleepy town.

We stayed for one night after hotel-hopping quite a bit in Japan, and this place was immediately put on our list of favorite ones. Well maintained and super-clean and modern. The room had a large desk where you could work, really comfy bed, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast area had such a nice and relaxed atmosphere.
