The house is perfect, private onsen, birds singing, everything spotless clean, coffee, tea, even soup bar and a great welcome present. The rooms are great, the bar and kitchen equipped Perfectu, instruction for everything, washing machine with detergents...it's the best place I have stayed in in Japan. Perfect for families and friends. Just remember that from the bus the climb is a good workout, specially with luggage. We didn't mind and the information about this has been given - we just didn't expect it to be so steep ;) There is parking if you are by car. In winter it's probably not doable both by feet or by normal car ... buy we had great spring time. Thank you ❤️

The room is very spacious with two floors. On the ground floor there is a natural onsen which my kid really likes. It is also located in a very quiet neighhood. We also want to extend our special thanks to the host Heidi. I lost my iphone during a visit to a local museum. Heidi helped us talk to the police in Japanese and successfully identified where the phone was. At that time we were back to Singapore already, and Heidi helpes us pick up the phone in Hakone and sent it to Singapore through express mail. Without her help we are definitely unable to take our phone back. Really appreciate the kind help here!

Just a paradise gateway! We really enjoyed every minute of this wonderful hotel The premisses, the size of the room, the Onsen, the hospitality of the people working there, The cleanness They gave us every day fresh pyjamas, fresh towels Wonderful location nearby a lot of sightseeing's and restaurants in small village above Hakone Thanks also for the employees specially Yashika who is very cordial!

The overall stay was incredible. The staff were incredibly welcoming and nice, not to mention efficient. The facilities were impeccable, very comfortable, and luxurious. We went with the private onsen, and it was beyond delightful. To top it off, The location was really convenient as it was just a shower walk from Hakone-Yumoto station, and there is a convenience store and vending machines nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay here! When you entered Byakudan, you can smell sandalwood right away, it’s so calming and it’s a vibe. The staff welcomed us with fresh green tea and japanese snacks. Everything was done perfectly and the staff were so nice and helpful. The girl who served us during dinner and breakfast, her name is Saki, she was so helpful and nice to us, even wrote us a little thank you note before our departure. It was so sweet of her. And we hope to see her again during our next stay in Byakudan :)

Elegant and comfortable hotel. Even though it’s bit outside of the main towns it’s a good central location if you are traveling around the Mt. Fuji area. The SPA and the gym is great, the restaurant is very good and the facilities are fantastic. Plenty of parking if you drive your own car.

We had the most incredible and relaxing time here. Food was unexpectedly a large tasting menu of fine small dishes and was great! Staff are amazing and so kind, facilities are great, location is lovely and scenic and quiet. Onsen is clean and beautiful. All in all great time, didn’t want to leave

Exceptional stay in Hakone This place is truly exceptional. The house is perfectly located on a hillside surrounded by nature — peaceful and incredibly relaxing. My room had a beautiful view of the forest; I felt completely immersed in it. I could hear the birds singing every morning — it was magical. I also had my meals on site, and the food was absolutely delicious. The dining area opens up to the outdoors, offering breathtaking views while you eat. The on-site baths are fantastic — everything is thoughtfully designed, and the outdoor area is a dream. It feels like you're bathing right in the forest. The staff were beyond amazing — we were treated like royalty. I’ll definitely come back. A huge thank you to the whole team! Highly recommended, 200%. Don’t hesitate — go for it!

Boutique luxury hotel in Hakone. I believe there are only 9 rooms in total. Brand new and stunning. The room is fantastic - decent size, bathroom huge, wardrobe, bed comfortable and loved the traditional feel to everything in the room, your own onsen with beautiful wooden surroundings that you fill with water yourself and can hear the large waterfall from the native bush below. Just divine and relaxing. Smart tv that you can watch from the onsen or in bed. Because of the waterfall you needed to have the volume up quite high though. Drinks in fridge were for your enjoyment free of charge. They include drinks and snacks in the restaurant area in the afternoon for your enjoyment. Lovely check in process, with a personal touch and a traditional tea. Bus stop right there at road entrance to the hotel - we used this a few times during our stay. Taxi is best when arriving and leaving with suitcases given the hills. 7 eleven a few hundred metres walk. We didn’t want to leave!
