Great views. Great trip. Only disappointment is the blue "lake" in Nakadake Crater. All the pictures show the "lake" while to my understanding it was destroyed during the 2016 earthquake. It was what drawn my attention to this location to begin with, so it was disappointing not seeing it. Have to lay futons yourself. Dinner was wagyu beef BBQ, they didn’t have fish sashimi and served horsemeat instead (probably due to the Aso mountaineous region), which we didn’t dare to try. Wagyu was very good quality, other dishes were homegrown and healthy, which needs some accustom to. Breakfast was traditional Japanese style which was very good! We arrived about 00-00 and still met a very nice man who helped us to get the keys and showed the rooms, etc. Saunas there are really great and you feel like a Samurai in Rekan and Sauna.
