BEST VALUE for MONEY. Very well located in the centre; walking distance to the food street. The room are bigger than other chains. Clean, quiet and well equipped. The onsen is really good. The views are nice from the room, and they gave us a 2000 yens voucher (we didn't have breakfast included) which we used for the shop. When they came to install the futons, it wasn't the right time for us, so I asked them to not do it now. When it was the right time, I went to reception to ask for it, I think the women who normally do it had finished their shift but two men from the reception came to the room and installed the 4 futons (you had to add the sheets.on the pillows and the blankets too). I didn't realise this wasn't their job until it was too late but I was very thankful they did it especially as the room was small for 4 futons and the tables and it required some tetris skills.

    Hon-Hachinohe has far more to offer than we could fit into our three-day visit—we truly wished we had stayed longer. The Korekawa Jomon Archaeological Museum was exceptional, offering a fascinating look at the area's ancient past. The Tanesashi Coast was another highlight, with its beautiful and easy-to-navigate hiking trails. In the center of town, we explored the Hachinohe Portal Museum, known as ‘Hacchi’—a six-floor space that blends cultural center, artist studios, and local exhibits. The staff there were especially welcoming and helpful. We didn’t have time to visit the Art Museum or the History Museum, Maybe next time

    This was my location for my real introduction to Japan and its culture. Hachinohe is ideal because of the intersection of rail, bus and cars giving the traveler many options. I am particularly interested in the Tohoku coast.

    Very nice coastal city with interesting fish markets (where you can make your own seafood rice bowl with fresh local catch or rent a dove to grill shell fish, and buy local goods) and beautiful coastal trail. And there is a direct bus to the Lake Towada and Oriase Trail though it's difficult to book the bus tickets on line unless you know how to type your name in Japanese. Staff of the tourists information center at the station are very very nice and helpful. One gentleman speaks unusual good English.

    During rain I think 1 day is enough time to see and experience most things. I can imagine in better weather the beaches and coastline can be interesting. There was not a lot to do in the city itself, and trains don't run so often. It is probably advisable to rent a car. Food/Restaurant choices are limited in hon-hachinohe area. Mostly all izakayas and lots of seafood. It's a great place if you like bar-hopping/standing bars/drinking culture. As a solo-traveller this can be a great way to meet people.

    This was my second time staying with Dormy Inn at Hachinohe. The reason for me to visit Hachinohe is mostly due to my great experience with dormy Inn. I enjoyed their onsen and the chill corner outside of the onsen. On top of that, they have free apple juice, snack and soba served everyday. The room is spacious and there is a live status of the crowds for the Onsen, washing machines and dryers. The staffs are friendly and helpful too.

    The hotel was super easy to find and the installations were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff members were very friendly and let us drop our bags before check-in time so we managed to browse around the town on the meantime. We stayed only one night but it was the perfect place to rest, the room was spacious and had all the needed amenities. Highly recommended
