The location was great with great scenery.
The location was great with great scenery. Ten minutes walk through snow trails to Happoone ski lift. Ten minutes walk to village for rentals & restaurants (Ooyokuri restaurant*****)! The staff was excellent and accommodating of late evening arrival. Inside & outside onsens were very good. Breakfast was great with selection & taste. Twelve (7adults, 1teen, 5children) give it a big thumbs up! It was end of season, so shops and restaurants were closed, snow was a bit slushy for me, good for kids. This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori. There are several options for skiers and snowboarders of different abilities. The ski school is excellent. It is not too busy, and there is little to no queue for ski lifts. We are coming back.Guest review byYi MienHong Kong - 10

We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike...
We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike and Cortina. My favorite of the 3 resorts was Tsugaike. The queues were relatively quiet and had more terrain. The Hakuba Valley shuttle will get you between all the resorts but it can get quite busy. ps. If you are staying in Iwatake and are travelling to Nagano with luggage (that you can manage easily) see if you can catch the direct bus rather than using the Hakuba Valley shuttle to get to the Happo Bus Terminal.Guest review byPeggy GAustralia

Having a washing machine for the week while at the snow was wonderful. Facilities weren’t the most modern, but it was clean, worked and was kept well. Vouchers for onsen were great. Buses stopped at nearby Mominoki or Tokyo hotel and it was a short walk to Kokusai chairlift for Happo One ski area. Good coffee and rental/gear at Rhythm nearby. Plenty to choose from. We especially loved the onsen and the yakata outfits worked very well. Ski room worked perfectly too. The manager and staff were very helpful too and it was perfect for getting to Happo ski lift. Also the hotel had a bus to take you to Hakuba47 which worked perfectly.
