The location was great with great scenery. Ten minutes walk through snow trails to Happoone ski lift. Ten minutes walk to village for rentals & restaurants (Ooyokuri restaurant*****)! The staff was excellent and accommodating of late evening arrival. Inside & outside onsens were very good. Breakfast was great with selection & taste. Twelve (7adults, 1teen, 5children) give it a big thumbs up! It was end of season, so shops and restaurants were closed, snow was a bit slushy for me, good for kids. This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori.
This is a fantastic ski resort. We love Goryu and Iimori. There are several options for skiers and snowboarders of different abilities. The ski school is excellent. It is not too busy, and there is little to no queue for ski lifts. We are coming back.Guest review byYi MienHong Kong - 10.0

We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike...
We stayed near Iwatake Gondola and skied Iwatake, Tsugaike and Cortina. My favorite of the 3 resorts was Tsugaike. The queues were relatively quiet and had more terrain. The Hakuba Valley shuttle will get you between all the resorts but it can get quite busy. ps. If you are staying in Iwatake and are travelling to Nagano with luggage (that you can manage easily) see if you can catch the direct bus rather than using the Hakuba Valley shuttle to get to the Happo Bus Terminal.Guest review byPeggy GAustralia

Aki has been an amazing host, with great recommendations of where to go in the area. We found the location super convenient. Having our own car, it was away from the main Hakuba area but close enough to the ski resort (5 minutes drive to the main lift of Hakuba Goryu) and within walking distance to very nice dinner places. Breakfast was very appreciated too, with something for every taste. The staff are so lovely and helped us with everything - from directions to dinner reservations. The accommodation was very clean, with great facilities including a drying room (for snow gear) right at the front of the hotel. Heating in the bedrooms was fantastic, and the rooms were spacious. Breakfast was also incredible! Location is perfect to access Happo One - not even a 5 minute walk. Many restaurants around within walking distance. The location was perfect for us as we are avid snowboarders and only needed to hike a small distance to one of the main runs of Hakuba Goryu.
