It's a very nice traditional house with beautiful garden and great view on the town (especially during sunset). The host is very helpful and just a very nice person to spend some time with. The whole place is cozy and has a very chill vibe. I recommend this for people who like to meet people during their travel and who also like to experiance staying in a family house. There is a very nice shared kitchen area for people to meet. During our stay the guests were really quiet in the evening, so there was no problem with the noise.

An authentic home restored beautifully by Dani and Evan! The touches of original furniture and vintage furnishings really set this house apart from anywhere else I have stayed in Japan. Dani and Evan were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. A perfect stop half way along the Shimanami Kaido Cycle Route. Cute place with cozy beds and nice atmosphere in room. Located in nice town close to shrine and wisteria garden and several good restaurants. Shared toilets and shower we're very clean. We were very happy there after a day of cycling!

    The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing.

    The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing. We came here on a motorcycle/fishing trip. The motorcycle part was great. The fishing part…. was difficult😩 Lots of chinu (black bream) around and big, but they were not interested in the lures we used. Saw some locals catching them with bait, so we will have to change our strategy next time! Also, squid fishing is quite popular. One more thing, many restaurants only open for lunch or close/take last orders early so be prepared for this or you’ll be eating convenience store foods!🤣

    We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so...

    We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so we only stayed in Imabari for one night. If I was to do this trip again I would do it over 3 or 4 days in order to stay a little longer and explore.
