The owner of this hotel was one of the kindest people I met in all my travels. He let me check in early (so nice), but it didn't stop there. The next day, he drove me to the ferry so that I could go to the cat island (Tashirojima) AND THEN came back at the end of the day with my luggage and drove me to the train station. THERE'S MORE: I met two other travelers on the island and when the owner saw they didn't have a way to the train station, also had them ride along. True, true kindness. The only downside thing to say is that this hotel is not super close to the ferry/downtown, but it is right by a train station, so it is easy to get to from the JR. I don't mind walking, so my first day there I didn't have an issue getting to the downtown via walking. Also, if you love cats like I do, this place is for you-- as the space next to the hotel has all the owner's cats, who are just the sweetest, cutest babies. The room was comfortable and met all my needs.

Super close to the train station, easy to find, friendly staff. Twin room was large with comfortable beds, very clean and lovely small ensuite. Such good value for money, highly recommend

This is the best hotel I've been until now in Japan (out of 5)! It is affordable, everything you need is in the room, the employees were very polite, there were a huge breakfast included with very nice ladies making it, the bed was very comfortable and you can controle the temperature. It was also a very calm neigborhood, so I've not heard anything from outside or other residents there!
