Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. There was one staff member who was particularly helpful at breakfast, speaking English to us, and suggesting some of the local specialties that were in the buffet. His recommendations were excellent.

    It's like 3-min walk from the station, and there's a 7-11 3 m min away. Jodogahama Beach is a short ride away, and it's beautiful. I stayed through the typhoon that landed in Miyako. The owner was extremely helpful, dishing out advice and helping me cancel my next accommodation (really appreciate this since i can't speak Japanese and it's a ryokan in a small town). I met a bunch of really cool people, we managed to hang out during and after the typhoon left us, checking out local night spots ... what was a disruption to my travels turned out to be the best experience this trip. Extremely grateful, and will surely be back!
