The location is perfect that only few minutes away from the station meanwhile can enjoy the local community atmosphere and quietness. There is a supermarket runs 24h and a book store nearby. Location is perfect, only a short walk from the Kyoto Station with several convenience stores nearby. The room is comfortably large and has everything you need! There's a washer-dryer, microwave and you can even cook if needed as they have all the necessary utensils. The room had large floor to ceiling windows but no direct view to outside, though it's not a problem as it's designed nicely and fits the relaxing atmosphere.

    The hosts were incredibly kind, friendly, and always helpful. The room I stayed in was simply stunning—part of a beautiful traditional Japanese house that offers a full, authentic cultural experience. The location is also perfect, right in the heart of Uji, just a short walk from famous temples like Byōdō-in and other sightseeing spots. It’s also a great base for visiting Kyoto or even taking a short trip to Tokyo. And of course, Uji is the matcha capital of Japan—so everything was truly unforgettable.

    We loved our time at the Uji Tea Inn! It was quite easy to walk to the different train stations and amenities. Our hosts were exceptionally lovely and made us feel special during our stay. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Kyoto.
