We liked the room it was quite spacious. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was an easy bus ride from the main station and there were many restaurants nearby. Very easy to get around downtown (west side of station).
Very easy to get around downtown (west side of station). Almost every bus goes up and down the main street. It is a good base to make trips to Ashikaga Flower Park, Nasu, Nikko, Ohya and less than an hour by fast train to Tokyo. I like the view of the mountains from Utsunomiya. Lots of options to eat out (mostly gyoza, which Utsunomia is known for). Beds were super comfy. I loved that it was part of a home, and so it felt more cozy than the sterile apperance of a hotel. Good common room to meet other guests with low sofas and tables. Bathroom was large. There were also toilets/sinks upstairs and downstairs.
