Everything was exactly as we expected. The owner, Mr Sok, and his family were truly amazing. To stay there is a real opportunity to learn about the rural Cambodia, its present and past, from the inside. It's even more complete if you take the local tour with Sok as we did. Sok is one of the kindest, most generous and helpful persons we have ever meet. He doesn't just play his role of host with excellence, but he also truly cares about everyone he is in contact with. The room is basic but clean, as well as the shared bathroom. Next to the house there is a daily market. To walk around it is also a good opportunity to see the people in their daily activities, but it starts really early so earplugs are advised if you wanna sleep after 5 am. The food is also really delicious and cheap.

The room was excellent, with a small terrace on the ground floor. We liked the concept of the bathroom with separate shower and toilet, but the lighting was quite dim. The internet was good, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

We only stayed one night at Dary’s Village Guesthouse & Restaurant, but the experience was truly excellent. The property is new, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean. The on-site restaurant offers tasty dishes and good service. One of the biggest strengths is the girl who manages the guesthouse—she’s very friendly, speaks excellent English, and is always ready to help. It’s the perfect place for those seeking peace and an authentic glimpse of Cambodia, while still being within easy reach of the city.

Fascinating location in the heart of Kratie, with a bird's eye view of all the action at the central market from the terraces and roof top. Beautifully renovated heritage building with large, clean rooms equipped with modern bathrooms ,excellent hot showers, comfortable beds, air con & very good wifi. Roof top restaurant & bar with great views, excellent food, music & atmosphere. Lots of good local travel advice available, along with bicycles, bus tickets and a laundry service. Staff are all very welcoming, kind and efficient and make this a relaxing place to stay.
