Everything we needed was found in this small but busy town, just north of Galle it's easily reached from Columbo or the airport using the highway. Compared to Hikkaduwa, Ambalangoda is smaller, has fewer tourists, felt more authentic. Easy to move around in a TukTuk. We mostly dined at Villa La Kurmba, great food! This quiet place is 5 minutes away from the centre or the beach located directly beside the lake. Everything was just perfect, the welcoming, the rooms are very big, comfortable bed and very clean bath. You can live in the whole 1 floor with kitchen and terrace and also there is a washing machine for dirty clothes.
