The hotel was fantastic - amazing facilities and lovely staff. It was the perfect location to explore some of the area too - so nice to be near a supermarket and other food places whilst also being in a quiet area down by the river. We got to see a crocodile by the river from the hotel garden!! The pool was great - made for a very relaxing fun place to come back to. The gym had good facilities and it was nice that there were outside weights. Great breakfast too. The staff brought us mango lassi and beer to our room one evening too. Room was super comfortable - great shower and ac.

We loved everything with the hotel. The facilities, the spacious and comfortable rooms, the exceptional service from the staff, the food and the pool area. The owner would give it an 11 out of 10 if he could. The amount of heart he put into our stay, showing us the nearest area (few hours) and finally taking us to a religious festival with his family is worth every penny. This was probably my best stay ever - highly recommended if you want to understand local life and the beauty of harmony.

The dedication of the the staff at Village Mango Resort was fantastic. They organised our safari tour prepared breakfast to take with us at 0430am. We returned for an exceptional lunch the absolute best home cooked meal we have had in Sri Lanka the Aubergine curry was the best.

The hoster help us to organize very quickly the Yala Safari but also our depart to Ella. He investigated several bus schedules making our trip much easier. The location is great with a nice view from the balcony to the rice fields. Recomended!

We had contact with the owner prior the the arrival and organized a safari with him. The safari was good, we saw many animals and the driver left the animals space if they needed or wanted to cross the road. The place itself is nice, very big houses and a huge bed. With AC nice temperature in the room. The area around the houses is well cared for and there is a nice pool and even the possibility to walk to a lake nearby (we didn't do it, as it was dark). We ate diner there and it was very nice, also the packed food for the safari was delicious.

Perfect place to explore yala national park, the organised half day safari was amazing. The staff is very friendly, breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious and the room with balcony was very clean and comfortable.
