From the time we checked in to when we checked out, the attention and courtesy we received from the staff was simply amazing. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to our needs was refreshing to see. One example was the initiative taken by the chef to bake a "rice flour bread" when informed that one of our guests gluten intolerant. Special mention of Lalith, Sahas and Tharanga for their excellent customer service.

Lunuganga A unique and stunning location. We felt like weekend guests invited by Geoffrey Bawa. The house and guest buildings are beautifully preserved to ensure an authentic and unique experience. A big thank you to all the staff who work extremely hard to create the wonderful ‘house guest’ experience. Highly recommended.

It is one of the best places we have ever stayed in the world, let alone Sri Lanka! A very hospitable host and his dog Maya took good care of us. Rooms were huge and cozy with very high loft ceilings, you cannot really see that from the photos on the website. Breakfasts were incredible and featured different sorts of fruit, passionfruit included! Also, staying in this property gives you a good discount on surfing lessons on the beach, so me and my cousin rode our first waves. Just perfect, I recommend this place with all my heart and will definitely come back. ❤

This Ayurveda retreat is a gem , we liked the treatments that are done under supervision from specialized doctors, the authentic healthy food, the staff , and the Yoga . And the acupuncture treatments as well. we went there with chronic pains and left with much better state of body and mind . We had an amazing stay at Villa Maria. We had just booked for one night, which we changed to two nights as soon as we arrived. Built to a very high standard with big modern rooms of 5* quality with big terraces. Great WIFI connection and speeds.

    We did not venture into Bentota.

    We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

    Stayed at Thaala Bentota recently and had a pleasant experience. The location is excellent—right by the beach with easy and direct access, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hotel itself is well-maintained with a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a good variety and fresh options. Dinner buffet had fewer choices in comparison, but the quality was still decent and satisfying for the price. Overall, a very good place to stay if you’re looking for beachfront accommodation with good service and a peaceful vibe.

    We stayed at Janus Paradise restaurant cabanas it was fabulous food was amazing lovely clean rooms , staff extremely helpful . Food was delicious, pool clean , we arrived during the Sri Lankan new year and was given a beautiful meal for breakfast , it was just lovely. Hotel owner Janus very nice and came to sit with us during our evening stay had a great laugh together what a wonderful host

    We arrived after 4 days travelling and adventuring so were ready for a relaxing break. We enjoyed the pool at our hotel and swimming in the sea. It was a beautiful few days spent in a beautiful place. We had dinner one night at Catamaran and sat on the beach with a great mojito watching the sunset - grilled seafood was amazing. We walked the beach every day and it was so nice and we weren't bothered by people selling things. We even saw mama turtle tracks which was exciting!

    The friendly and ever smiling staff everywhere make you happy. The room is very comfortable. Good sleep. Hoped if the sunrise was delayed !!!. The food was excellent. Obviously with a Cinnamon Brand hotel there is very little or nothing to complain. You can relax the way to wish. Although you pay a premium price it is fully worth as you return back happy.

    After six weeks travelling around Sri Lanka and staying in over 20 hotels/villas, this was the best. Very closely located to turtle beach, the villa had two beautifully appointed bedrooms where no expense had been spared. They really are amazing, as are the hosts Dinesh and Sashimi who couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfasts were fantastic and so we ate in both nights. Sashimi is a great cook and Dinesh keeps the lager very cold. We would have loved to have stayed here longer!!!!!

    Abe and his wife are very nice and kind people. They always helped me, gave me recommendations, took me to the store. I work remotely and for me this place was perfect, with good internet for Sri Lanka. I like to walk and it was comfortable for me to walk to the beach. Very warm atmosphere, you feel at home. Abe treated me like a relative. This is the best place I lived in 3 months spent in Sri Lanka. I would like to come back. Thank you Abe!

    We had the most incredible stay at Amber house. The rooms are huge all looking out on the river. They have a little boat that drops you the other side of the river with a short walk through to a beautiful beach. Nuan and his family looked after us very well. Absolutely the best stay since being in Sri Lanka for one month
