Absolutely Outstanding Experience! Our stay at the Dormero Hotel in Sri Lanka was nothing short of amazing! The staff here is truly the best we have ever encountered – attentive, friendly, and always going above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience. The hotel itself is stunning, with a fantastic ambiance and exceptional hospitality. Without even asking, they graciously upgraded our room because there was availability – such a thoughtful gesture that made our trip even more special. Breakfast was an absolute highlight – delicious, varied, and beautifully presented. The top manager deserves special recognition for being incredibly kind, approachable, and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you, Dormero Hotel, for creating such unforgettable memories for us. A very good breakfast with mixed Sri Lankan food and western toast . Very nice with fruit plate and exotic fresh juice , It was a good location in a calm street and took only a few minutes to walk to the beach and main street .

This was our 16th place to stay in Sri Lanka. It has to be the most peaceful, relaxing and chilled out of all. Lovely clean, spacious room, with a small seating area which we loved the views onto the lake. The staff were exceptional! We also hired their kayaks and went for a trip on the serene lake. We’ll remember this place and would definitely return.

It was an absolute wonderful stay in your house. The breakfast was increadible, fresh juice every morning, fried eggs and lovely bread and a beautiful plate of wonderful fruits. The rooms were big and very confortable. The staff was very friendly If we come back to SL we will surely stay in Villa Kaya again

We liked the room and the view, the restaurants, the placement by the beach and the staff, all of the staff where exeptional, we had an extra connection with Benisha who fixed a birthdaycake and who we had good conversation with trough out the stay and Nuwan, the last night we had forgot to reserve a table and we wanted to sit outside, so he fixed us a table on the top restaurant with the menu from the ground floor restaurant, this was super service and top problemsolving, made our last dinner memorable. Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

Excellent location , Great food & , above all , brilliant helpful staff But … In need of refurbish. The rooms - especially bathroom needs to be updated. The AC unit Very noisy , even on lowest setting.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best places to stay few days at the southeast coast of Sri Lanka. Very nice,clean beach with fine golden sand,many guest houses and hotels,restaurants. Easy to reach nearby historic Galle town by bus or train-ca 1/2hour, Bamian Buddha Statue/Tsunami museum in Peraliya or Seenigama Buddish/HinduTemple few hundred meters away.

The accommodation was right on the beach and everything we wanted out of our stay in Hikkaduwa! The owner Dinesh was amazing and we had a really great time chatting to him and his staff :) we even got up early to go swimming with the turtles when no one was around which was really cool! The food here was also amazing (we are normally adverse to eating in hotels etc. but this was a complete exception and we didn’t want to leave!) would highly recommend to stay here.. definitely won’t regret your decision!

This was the most exceptional hotels I have stayed at, not just in Sri Lanka, but all my travels. The hotel is situated on the beach with a more than spacious room and sophisticated amenities. However, what made this hotel stand out was the way the staff treated us. They were proactive in their hospitality and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Everyone was pleasant and even the MD of the Resort personally came up to me and ensured that I was having an exceptional stay.

We travelled in Sri Lanka for one month and FnR was our favourite place to stay.. the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, we felt very at home with them. The chef is very talented and made the best curries we had tasted, breakfast was delicious :) the hotel itself was very beautiful and clean, in such a lovely location.. on the beach, but not in a busy spot so you can enjoy peace and quiet outside the hotel. We can’t wait to come back one day!
