It has so many ruins and monuments to view, and especially marvel at the stone crafting abilities of ancient Sri Lankans who have created so many buddhist states and artistic monuments by using rocks. Ruins is one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff is very nice. The food, the rooms are amazing. I invite all local and foreign people to come here and have fun. Located outside the city, it is a quiet and pleasant place to stay. In all respects, Ruins is a beautiful hotel located in Polonnaruwa. The site seeing of historical places were the best. Most of the time we ate at the hotel and visited some locals and shared a meal with them. We had two large rooms overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunrise in de morning. Mongoose, squirrels and many types of birds visible from our window. Very friendly and helpful staff.
