From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. Janik and his mother Schwarna are lovely people who really care about their guests. Nothing is too much trouble and we were very grateful to Janik for arranging transport to and from Amba Kola for us. Schwarna is a talented cook and we really enjoyed her cookery class - and of course eating the delicious Sri Lankan food she taught us to make! We also particularly appreciated the large comfortable bed and superb pillows!

Serene surroundings with streams, lush greenery, and a delightful variety of bird species. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. A sweet and lovely place to stay. Amazing woodwork combined with creativity makes it a place you want to stay. Some things are still in progress (new rooms), but when finished it will be an overall amazing hotel. Accommodation was generous and all facilities very clean. The staff and manager where very friendly and helpful in any way. Thanks to the team! 😃 Pool Billard table (very nice idea) and lounge area was very cool and wie liked the aquariums. You can have a proper drink at the bar as well. 😁

Nice lovely place. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. loved the green colour welcome drink. husband and wife duo cooked some amazing rice and curry and recommended to try Spine gourd curry. The pool was well maintained. room was clean stylish and roomy. great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.
