Kaisiadodrys is a very nice town with many shops and places to eat. I particularly recommend Toscana. I was doing research on my husband's family who lived in nearby villages Miezonys and Ziezmariai, and the public library in Kaisiadorys was welcoming and provided me with a good place, and wifi access, to do some writing. Ziezmariai was particularly wonderful as it has a restored wooden synagogue, the only wooden one that survives in Lithuania. It is a beautiful structure and they host small, interesting exhibitions. Hotel accommodations are a problem. I would not recommend the pas Radvila hotel and suggest one find a room elsewhere.
