    You really don't need to stop here and stay over...

    You really don't need to stop here and stay over... The todra gorge is beautiful to see, but you could drive up to it and out again. I recommend stopping at Family el Mabrouk restaurant on your way into the gorge for a truly authentic experience. They are so full of energy. They'll dress you up in traditional wear and take photo's for you. They even took me with to the Souk in town. Highly recommend.

    I went through the local market and the downtown area, it's nothing out of the ordinary, it's typical Moroccan, I like the crowd there, it's a commotion that moves and keeps the city alive during the day, but at night it's quiet, I didn't see much because I was welding a small part of the time. Good food .

    Among the palm groves we visited during our two week road...

    Among the palm groves we visited during our two week road trip the one in Tinerhir was the greenest, with people working in the fields. What is also nice that the Gorges are close. However you should go for a 4h walk.

    unfortunately the night we were there it was very cold and...

    unfortunately the night we were there it was very cold and the heating in our room could not keep up. The generator broke down and we had no electricity in our room had to get ready by I Phone light. The walk in the garden the evening we arrived was wonderful the best about this place.

    Tinerhir is very authentic, with beautiful landscapes of the kasbah and the palmeraie. Nice panorama's and the Todra gorge is closeby. We arrived by bus and had lunch at the mosque square. The lunch was also very good. The had dinner at the Guesthouse and it was our best, prepared and served with dedication.

    To be clear, we stayed outside of Tinerhir closer to the gorge. But, the area has extraordinary beauty and it was well worth the long drive from Marrakesh. We were there for only 24 hours and could have stayed a couple of more days for hiking and just soaking in the landscape.

    The owner went over & above to look after us. He gave us cakes that his wife made when we arrived, and when we left, he gave us a small box of cakes to take with us. During our stay we met his two daughters, who were adorable. Just wished we could of stayed longer, nothing was too much trouble from the host. Highly recommend this hotel, the food is AMAZING and plenty of it !

    Excellent location, only 1 km from the gorge. The owner and the staff were very helpful and took excellent care of us. The food was delicious. And the hotel almost brand new. The room was very comfortable and had a beautiful view over the valley. We will come back to this hotel. We would highly recommend it to others.

    Very friendly and cosy Riad featuring mountain and village sights. Staff were great and friendly. Wifi, tea, breakfast and lunch were excellent. spacious rooms and comfy beds. There are several covered outside areas where you can hang out with some of the hotel cats :)

    A lovely old kasbah with lots of history remodelled into a beautiful hotel. Extremely quiet and very comfortable. Thoughtful and attentive staff served us a lovely dinner and possibly the best breakfast buffet during our time in Morocco.
